A passion for languages and an eye for detail.

I spent the first fifteen years of my career as a teacher in Australia and Belgium, working with languages every day. During my time in the classroom I honed my communication skills in a variety of languages, learning the best way to deliver a message to a target audience; whether it be a bright-eyed 5 year old, a surly teenager, their parents, or management. 

I was also the Curriculum Coordinator and Deputy Principal of an international school here in Belgium, where I further sharpened my communication skills and applied my eye for detail on a daily basis. After five years in this role and the birth of my two wonderful children, I decided to pursue a life-long dream of becoming a qualified translator and starting my own freelance business. 

I now spend my time as a freelancer dividing my time between my passions in life; my family, languages, arts & culture  and travel. I am also a cheese maker and love discovering new regional cheese specialties whenever I'm exploring a new holiday destination!
